An amazing leader of the LDS church

He will be deeply missed but never forgotten!!! He was the prophet for almost 13 years. So many people only know him as the prophet. He was well known throughout the world and not just by church members. He was very liked among all!

Here are some of my favorite quote from Gordon B. Hinckley. He always said amazing and wonderful things. I actually remember these quotes. He was always so great to listen to. His shoes will be hard to fill but who the lords calls he qualifies. We will have another great and wonderful prophet of God to lead and directs us in the way we should go.

"Now, my brethren and sisters, the time has come for us to stand a little taller, to lift our eyes and stretch our minds to a greater comprehension and understanding of the grand millennial mission of this The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This is a season to be strong. It is a time to move forward without hesitation, knowing well the meaning, the breadth, and the importance of our mission. It is a time to do what is right regardless of the consequences that might follow. It is a time to be found keeping the commandments. It is a season to reach out with kindness and love to those in distress and to those who are wandering in darkness and pain. It is a time to be considerate and good, decent and courteous toward one another in all of our relationships. In other words, to become more Christlike"
Gordon B. Hinckley - Gen. Conf. 1995 Apr.

"each convert needs a friend, a responsibility, and nurturing by the good word of God."
Gordon B. Hinckley - 2004, Apr. Gen. Conf.

"We must work at our responsibility as parents as if everything in life counted on it, because in fact everything in life does count on it."
Gordon B. Hinckley - Oct. Conf. 2002

"The family is a creation of the Almighty. It represents the most sacred of all relationships. It represents the most serious of all undertakings. It is the fundamental organization of society."
Gordon B. Hinckley - 2005 Apr. Gen. Conf.

"Our whole strength rests on the validity of [Joseph Smith's] vision. It either occurred or it did not occur. If it did not, then this work is a fraud. If it did, then it is the most important and wonderful work under the heavens."
Gordon B. Hinckley - Oct. Gen. Conf. 2002
