Christmas 2007

OK...OK!!! I'll finally make a Christmas post! I don't have any pics of Christmas day. We did video and although I'm pretty good with computers...I have no idea how to get the video to post to my blog. So hopefully you are all OK with just hearing about our day. I do have pics for a few post I'm going to do. So you can look forward to that! Our Christmas this year was kinda weird. I have been sick for it seems forever and just did not feel into the whole Christmas spirit this year. I will totally make up for it next year though. I don't feel like my kids missed out on anything though so that good. The only part I didn't do was.....yeah I know you are going to kill me....but we did not put up a tree or any decorations!!! I never felt up to doing it and Bryan isn't into it at all anyway so it didn't get done. Carter didn't even notice until a few days after Christmas he said, MOM! We forgot to put up or Christmas tree!!! Let put it up now so Santa will come AGAIN!!! I thought it was cute but we did not put the tree up after Christmas either! The good part about not doing it was that now while you are all cleaning it up and putting it away...I'm already done! LOL Anyway, so on Christmas morning Carter woke up at about 8:00am (way later than normal) and I finally woke Mason up around 9:00am. For some reason when I have plans for something in the morning, my kids sleep in really late! It's so weird. Anyway one they were both awake they got to open presents! Now that part I was into! It was fun to see them so excited to open things and love everything they got. This year Carter is TOTALLY into Star Wars! I say, yuck! Anyway, he loves them and plays with his figures and vehicles all day long and when he's not doing that he's playing the Star Wars Lego game on Bryan's computer! He knows more about Star Wars than I ever care too. It's cute though. Mason's big excitement this year was his Cozy Coupe! You know that ugly red and yellow car with the roof and you push around with your feet like the Flintstones? Yeah Mason loves it! He uses it at a hid out and a car! It's like two gifts in one! They of course got more toys and clothes. After we were done at our house we drove down the street about five houses and did it all over again at Grandma and Grandpa Stickney's house. It was fun! I got a new REAL Dooney and Burke purse and Bryan got a new MP3 player with video. So now not only does he have it hooked to his ear listening to books 24/7 he can download movies and watch those too! He's in heaven and I'm even more annoyed!!! My Dad got one too and my Mom now blames my husband for teaching my Dad bad things! LOL After that we came home and had naps! It was nice! I really did love Christmas this year. It was low key and stress free!! I swore that after having my first trimester be during the holidays for the second time with Mason that I would never do that again. Well, look at me now! Third time now!!! I love summer babies though so I guess I can't complain to much. Next year I will for sure put up a tree and decorations!!! I won't be pregnant so it will all be good! So there ya have it! I know you are bummed with no pictures but at least you know how our day went. I'll post some other blogs with pics soon. I do have some with the kids on Santa's lap with Mason screaming his head off and of the little Christmas party we had at my parents house. So that is coming soon. I hope you all had a great Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!

Thanks for posting!

Sounds like you had a GREAT Christmas. We didn't decorate our tree this year and I don't think I'll decorate a tree ever again. I put the thing up in ten minutes and put it away in ten minutes! AWESOME!

So, how far along are you now?

We didn't put up a tree a couple of years ago either. Sometimes it just seems like too much. I will chastise you on the no pictures. COME ON, NO PICTURES! What is wrong with you? Oh wait you have a little one sucking the life out of you. Good luck with that.

We are so opposite this year. We not only put a tree up....but it is still standing! I have un-decorated the tree...and removed all the Christmas clutter and gave it all a good dust, but my hubby has not completed his chore of taking the tree down YET. Nice chore for him this weekend because it is driving me nuts! I don't want to turn into one of those that keeps their Christmas lights on the house all year long. I am a little jealous of you right now!! Sounds like you had a super great Christmas and made up for the no tree in your boys eyes!!
