Oh my gosh!!! I need to vent!!! Are you ready to listen? Well......read? Ok good! See that thing in my husbands ear? Well I wish I could say it was a hearing aid!!! But nope. It's him listening to his freaking audio books AGAIN!!! Can I tell you how annoying this is. He seriously has a book in his ear 24/7! No lie! Well while he is at work or in the shower he isn't attached to is but otherwise it's in! I'm glad I have a really intelligent husband and he is a very smart guy. But when I have to repeat myself all day long because he can't hear me over his book, it's a bit much! He listens to book after book and then listens to some of those books again! If he could sit around and read all day he would. So he finds this a great way to get things done and still learn and in a way read books. The only big problem is that he can't freaking hear me!!! He's in a totally different place when he is listening to his books. It's almost like he's not even here! He'll be sitting on the couch "trying" to be a part of his family and the kids will do or say something cute and I'll have to re-play it for him. I feel like he's missing out on our kids! Seriously! He LOVES our boys so much but he really is missing out on stuff when he has his books on! It's one of my biggest pet peeves!!! Ahhhhhhhh! Anyway, I'm sure this post doesn't totally help you understand my frustration but it has helped me to vent about. Thanks for reading!!!

Hey girl! I hear ya with the whole tuning things out...my hubby Dave is king. However, there is nothing in his ear...it is the dang t.v. When it is on, nothing else is! If you figure it out, let me know. It must be a guy thing to be able to tune out instead of staying tuned.
Oh gosh linz, I'm not sure I'll ever figure it out! Glad to hear we have the same frustration tho.
I think you should hide it and then take all the credit and debit cards out of his wallet so he can't buy another one.
Oh I've tried hiding it!!! I didn't think about taking the cards away too! Good idea!!!
Don't you wish that for one day you could do the same! Why is it that husbands do not understand what example they are leaving to their children. I guarantee that if it was him being tuned out it would be a different story!!!
