Well last night Bryan and I went on a DATE!! I know it's hard to believe we actually left our kids home but we did! My Mom and Dad watched them for us. The last time we did this was in August for my birthday. Well I got thinking that we have been together for 6 years! I got thinking about this lst night because we went to a haunted house and that is what we did on our first date. So I also got thinking that many of you might now know "our story" so I thought I'd share how we met and all that good stuff. Also some before and after pics! The first set is our engagement pictures. I look at those and wish I was that thin again. However, I like my hair, makeup and eyebrows MUCH better now! Other than that I have to say I like my look more now! Of course Bryan hasn't change one bit! Makes me mad!!! LOL Anyway here is our story....... So you all know I served a mission in Hawaii right? Well while I was there my good friend got her call to serve in Montana. So we wrote back and forth the whole time. While she was in Montana she met Elder Herring. He was her zone leader. They became friends and once they were both home, hung out and kinda dated. He almost refuses to even admit he dated her but he did so there! He lived in California and came up for my friends home coming. This was new years eve 2000. We all hung out and ate at training table in Provo and went to a Peter Brienholt concert at the Tabernacle in Provo. We are all pretty big partiers as you can tell!!! Anyway, after about a month or so my friend and Bryan stopped "dating" but we kept in touch through email. My friend wasn't very happy about us talking so I hid it from her for awhile. I made it sound like I was talking to him about her. I'm sneaky huh? LOL I even chatted with him online and pretended to be someone else! I'm bad! He says he new all along it was me. Anyway, he came up to Utah for a baby blessing in October of 2001 and I told him he should stop by and we could hang out for a minute while he's up. Well, that minute has lasted 6 years! We have been together ever since our first date. it's funny though, I honestly didn't think anything would happen with us. I was honestly just going to hang out with him since he was up from California. All my friends kept calling to see when I was going to meet up with them. I kept putting them off because I didn't want to stop hanging out with Bryan. We went to a haunted house in Salt Lake with a friend of mine and her boyfriend. We were together 24/7 that whole weekend. Bryan even tried to kiss me on our first date! I freaked out and gave him a little peck and then ran into my apartment. Honestly I was way excited but a little worried about what my friend would think. I did call her to talk to her about it a few days later and needless to say she wasn't happy with it at all! I think deep down she wanted Bryan back. She did get married a couple years after us and that was good! The couple we went on our first date with got married one week before us. Anyway, we dated for two months and were engaged for another 2 months. We got married in the Mount Timpanogas Temple in American Fork on 02-02-02. It was such a fun day!!!

What a great story. It is so fun to reflect back huh! Funny that you did a post on it because we went on a date last night with some good friends up here and we exchanged the whole...how we met stories! However, ours really isn't anything to brag about since we have a lot of history together...way back to high school, and Dave was a naughty one and we were both so immature! For the record, I was so way cooler than him but he claims I was a little snot!
Also, love the 02.02.02. How catchy and fun. ps. You both look great and hey, you have 2 beautiful boys from all that drama you caused. So worth it! Thanks for sharing!!
One more thing....you have got to continue the date nights. Honestly, our friday's are ALWAYS a date night for us. It gets a little expensive getting babysitters and that, but seriously I need it by the end of the week! Keep it up girl, especially because your parents are right there!!
LOVE YOUR HAIR...HOPE YOU WIN!
Time goes by far too fast doesn't it?
I agree, your eye brows were a little crazy back then. I prefer you're make-up now days! :)
Cute story! Funny how I had to go on a mission just so you could meet your hubby! haha! Jk! Kinda weird to read your story... glad life has a way of working itself out. I think we both ended up with the perfect guy for us! I have never been happier...and looks like you two are super cute and happy too! And your little boys are freakin cute!!
